Puerto Viejo is a little haven situated on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, where you are encouraged to relax, recharge and reconnect while on the enchanted land that is the Talamanca region. Nestled within the tropical rainforest, and steps away from the most beautiful beaches in the country, Puerto Viejo is just 5 hours away by car, shuttle or bus.
In this tranquil beach town, you are always walking distance to popular surf destinations and some of the finest restaurants. Its surrounded by lush jungle, protected nature reserves, ocean, as well as a freshwater rivers and lagoons. Abundant amounts of wildlife share this exquisite location.

Relocation Retreats
Designed for those ready to explore what life could look like beyond the U.S., these retreats blend spiritual clarity with practical guidance. Together, we’ll explore the area—visiting rental homes and properties for sale, local markets, banks, and beaches—so you can get a real feel for daily life in Puerto Viejo. You’ll also experience a hands-on cooking class with Chef Mey, where you’ll learn to navigate a Costa Rican kitchen with ease and flavor. Each day balances exploration with reflection, giving you time to rest, integrate, and envision your new life abroad.
Wellness Retreats
If you’re not quite ready to relocate, this is your space to rest, reset, and reconnect with yourself. These retreats focus on healing and nourishment—through yoga, meditation, energy work, and intentional rest. You’ll enjoy curated local experiences, a healthy Spanish cooking class with Chef Mey, and personalized sessions with Coach Mel, including numerology, Reiki, or soulful life coaching. These are private retreats, designed to give you personalized attention, guidance, and space to go deep. Retreats are available by request and held Monday through Friday. Overnights stay maybe necessary coming in/out of San Jose. If that is the case you'll arrive on Sunday and depart on Saturday, so be sure to keep that in mind when booking your flights.
Travel INformation
You will arrive at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José, Costa Rica. If you need to stay overnight before arrival or departure, accommodations are not included and must be booked independently. We recommend the Country Inn & Suites in San José, which offers an airport shuttle for added convenience.
A shuttle will pick you up from Denny's restaurant near SJO airport and bring you to Puerto Viejo. Approximately a 5 hour ride.
For those looking to shorten the ride, you may also book a domestic flight from SJO to LIO (Limón Airport) at your own expense. If you choose this option, ground transportation from Limón to Puerto Viejo is included—just a one-hour ride away.
Payment & Cancellation policy
A 50% deposit is required at the time of registration. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival date.
Refund Policy:

Deposits are 100% refundable until 60 days before arrival.

Cancellations made less than 60 days before arrival will result in a 50% nonrefundable deposit.

Cancellations made less than 30 days before arrival are nonrefundable.
If your retreat is paid in full:

Cancellations made between 90–60 days prior will receive a full refund.

Cancellations less than 60 days prior will result in a refund minus 50% of the deposit.

Cancellations less than 30 days prior will result in a total loss of payment, with the option to rebook for a future retreat.
If we cancel the retreat for any reason, your deposit and all payments will be refunded in full.
In the event of cancellations due to worldwide travel restrictions, you will receive the option to reschedule.
We strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance for your peace of mind. You can explore policy options through our trusted provider, Travel Guard Insurance, and select the one that fits your needs.
